That needs to find it's way into a Hilux pronto!

I'm mostly interested in:

1) How do they sound?
2) Will they rev? (Particularly the smaller ones, even the V 2.6L if they even show up anymore)
3) Anyone have actual weights on them?

I didn't realize they existed until today, and am thinking an E7 Corolla could use one of these screaming through some 180 degree headers making a whopping 200hp or something.

The V8 is sweet and all, but why half ass it? Count them intake ports, baby.

Because that siamesed pair of 1JZs weighs about as much as the entire car that i have in mind would, alone.

All it takes is $$$$. The stroke is short enough... revs shouldn't be too much of an issue. My plan was to do some port work, bump compression, and have it all balanced by L....

and an E7 would work... my build was (will be) to put the mini hemi... into the mini Mustang (Celica liftback)

$500 is pretty cheap...

There is a thread somewhere on toymods about the dimensions and mass... it may take some time, but I remember it being there

I know nothing, but it looks like a couple of 3tc's welded together.

Motor was never sold in a US-bound vehicle, which makes this a bit of a pain.

I know nothing either. Maybe the 3tc was design by cutting a V8 in half?

more digging.....

Owner of 4V-U twin turbo said: Jeff Yes i had a 4v toyota twin turboed in a TA22 Good little engine, sweet sounding, quite good bottom end torque but it was in a light car , also quite smooth no vibrations The only problem that i had with it was when i asked it to produce around the 400-450hp it would push over the wet cylinder liners , eg the headgasket would start leaking.
gleened from Classic Celica old forum thread said: Where do you find parts for an ’85 Toyota Century limo motor in the States? Would you believe old Celicas and pickups? “Pistons and rings from a Toyota 20R will fit, and with a little trimming, so will the 20R copper head gaskets. The plugs and oil filter are also available in this country.

400-450hp?!?!?

I like the compression numbers.... tells me there's maybe room to jack it up in the 10-11:1 range if there's room, and with some modern EFI, should be a little monster.
