I just drove by the bus after lunch. Someone was looking at it. I do not think it will take long for it find a new home.

I showed it to my wife and she said "I wish we had a reason to buy that!" Sadly she's right, we wouldn't use it at all. It's super sweet though.

I am flying up to look at this one on Sunday. Its closer and he too will take $10000.00 cash.

I have to say that to those of you who took time to check the Flint bus out on my behalf, thankyou again. You are good peeps to do that for a complete stranger. Still do not know which one I will buy, but I will know by 10 AM sunday.

Personal slogans written on these buses must be some sort of "owners club" type thing.

No problem man. He called me today. If you don't pull the trigger on that one, let me know. He said I could meet him Monday evening (he's up north on vaca right now) so I can hear the generator and other sub-systems operate.

I don't have to wait till 10.00. This one is a pile of E36 M3. Waste of time. So it's back to the Flint bus.

I'll say this. I've seen a lot of coachs' in my day installing heating systems in them. This one was high-end in its day, and appears to have been well taken care of. If you are serious and want someone to take a better look, let us know.

I have told him I will buy it. He sounds like he is genuine and from what you guys have said and the photos I have seen it looks fine. Anyway I'm not looking for perfection on a 30 year old bus. I'm pretty realistic.

woohoo!

I may have someone who could do this for you, and/or that might be able to offset transport costs for you. I'll send you an email with details.

Congratulations, looks like you got an awsome bus. I was not in the market for a bus till you brought it up. Thanks for that.

So do you need a CDL to drive something like this? Or should have any special training?

So the plan is in gear already. I am flying down tomorrow to drive it up to salt lake city for Friday to meet me family at the Airport there. I always wanted to check out yellowstone anyway and we needed a vacation. Then we will spend a week idling back up to bc through some beautifull country. This way I can put the hard miles on and my kids won't kill each other. I have to say I wouldn't have done this if my wife wasn't onside but she is all for it. Am I fortunate or is she an enabler?

To xflowgolf, thankyou for the suggestion. If I had more time I would certainly look into it. But as it is I plan to be a few states away by Thursday.

I believe that since it is an RV there is no special licensing or training required. You can thank AARP for that one. ;-)

Have a drive through grand titon park while you are right there. Yellowstone is pretty darn cool. Might be worth buying a national park pass if you plan to hit a couple on route. Last I knew, if you bought one, it pretty much paid for itself by the third park. No idea if rates are different for RV's though.

If you have a 45 gallon drum of diesel fuel then perhaps.....

But if you see me getting the tour, come on out and say hi.

So I am home, if not with my new bus. 3800 miles in less than a week and she ran like a top the whole way. (Other than a little fuel shutoff solenoid issue and a shredded fanbelt) Three kids and my wife were happy pretty much the whole way. You can just about play basketball in the dang thing, and seatbelts were pretty much optional in the interest of happy kids. Thanks to a paperwork mixup, its not across the border yet, but I can take care of that little detail next thursday.

If you are thinking about getting into the motorcoach industry, I highly recommend it if you have the means!
