Anyone need anything moved from east to west?

Seriously considering a road trip to Oregon for some parts.  In order to make it work I probably would need some $ incoming by moving something from ohio to somewhere along 70 to bend, OR.  Not taking a trailer as i get 20+mpg with just the truck.  Anything that can fit in a short bed ram with a cap is fair game.  I’m not committed yet but it may be the best/safest way for me to get what I need back to ohio.  

I don't right now, but I might by your trip. Either way, my place wouldn't be a bad stop for you and you are welcome to crash here either or both directions.

If you can snag it i’m down with that too.  I’m not really wanting to put 5,000 miles on my truck, and committing to this run would make me have to give up the Power Tour

I'm guessing you're fetching the Devin hood, and I'm all for that, but please don't sacrifice Power Tour.  I want to see the '57 do the long haul.

I have a Cobra and a Bronco for sale, you could tow one with the other, dealer's choice!

Alternatively, I do have shed space for rent ($0/mo) if you need a place close to Portland to stash it for awhile.

Out of curiosity, what are you getting from Bend? I’m just south of Portland and I’ll be leaving out of here tomorrow (Monday) 

I’m going back home to Illinois. I have some room in the bed of my truck.

You shouldn't have to miss Power Tour.   I just need some of my stuff that has sold to actually leave here so I can snag something out there.


But hopefully you can work out transport with SBF before I get out there.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm trying to keep my fleet (mostly) MoPar based. 

I pmed sbf, but it’s probably too short notice for the guy that has it.

Work schedules and the snow conditions on the Willamette pass have kept me from being able to grab this for you yet but I am still willing. 

I feel awful to have failed at this for you. 

I am about two hours West of Bend if you feel like popping into the valley for a bit. The shop always has a lot to look at. 

I’m not giving up on you, Trent.  I understand the conditions when you throw a mountain pass in the mix and know you guys were slammed moving the shop and stuff.  

I almost had myself talked into a trip out there, but man that’s a ton of miles.  Freight is way cheaper.  

Just got a reply from the seller that he’s available and forwarded his info to SBF.  If this works out today I owe mr blinker fluid big time

Are we talking about the Devin hood or something smaller?  I'll be driving thru Chicago the weekend of 3/10 heading home but I probably won't have room for anything that large unless it gets strapped to the roof.  I also realize I don't really know how large a Devin hood is...

Maybe I can convince SWMBO we need to take the hearse instead of her car, something about a 25 year old rwd hearse and snowy mountains made it a no go for her.

I'm sort of planning a trip to Detroit in the next month or so, but don't have anything firm yet. Looks like there are quite a few rides to Detroit however.

If and when someone comes to pick this up from sbf, I can absolutely help load (or just heckle).
