Autocross is not racing? Blasphemy!!!

Right? Just telling people "Just run Mobil1 0W-40 from Walmart, you'll be fine" never fails to bring out the loonies.

You can get to the line first in a drag race and still lose. So it's not racing. Or if it is, then so is Pro Solo.

Jesus, you people are pedantic. Everyone loves to make up their own definitions for things. Racing doesn't require passing. It's a broad term that defined by Merriam Webster means "a contest of speed." That's it. There's different kinds, and they're all awesome.

So every track day I've done and most parts of my commute are racing?

Of course, that's why they're called track days and commuting, because they're obviously racing.

You've obviously seen the new car ads where two guys own the same model of car and race to their homes, across the street from each other every night.

Haven't done that. But I may have had a few casual contests over a few blocks or miles while commuting. I call that daily driving, and "No Officer, I wasn't street racing!"
