MAN why do great minds think alike? Ive been hunting for a stick v6 accord(or TL) to swap the drivetrain into a friends EG that he will sell to me for cheap. I think this is very challenge-able combo

For EG there are off the shelf engine mounts and axles. About a grand so not challenge friendly but you could be swapped and driving in a weekend.
I used to own a grimy crx. Right now I'm wishing I still had it (of course I can still go buy another for like $500 so really I should just shut up).
Id do an ek hatch type r clone, use the brembos and everything if I could. It’d be everything a vr6 golf should have been. Maybe a supercharger? Do they sound good uncorked?

I think so...
MR2! (Because the world needs more V6 MR2's)

That reminds me of something I learned while pricing out engine swaps for the CRX.
If you know how to make engine mounts from raw materials (steel and polyurethane) pretty much any of the B, F, J or even K swaps become much more challenge friendly. The wiring is pretty simple/cheap and there are multiple tutorials out there as well. But the pre-made engine mounts hold their value and sell quickly.
If I had any fabrication ability at all we probably would have tried for an F swap.
Actually, given how much I hate the turbo 4 lump... has the answer been under my nose the whole time? Is this what I should put in the XR4Ti?

That's sweet. A little digging says Baystate Dyno makes adapter plates J engine to K 5 or 6 speed. 900 bucks.Inline Pro makes one for about half that. No LSD, probably better to buy an Accord 5-speed if you don't need it.
I've been researching J swaps heavily, and the 6 speed TLs command $ (about two grand for a wreck), which makes sense, as that torsen stick brings $1300 on its own.
It's nice to know there are some options out there for all those J series with crapped out autos. Oh yeah, both companies adapt J to S2K transmissions for about the same money. They have some other adapters as well. K series to BRZ, for example.
