I did not know that. Is the 4.2 just an oversized 3.8? Would it accept a super coupe supercharger?

Somewhere I saw a forum thread about someone building a 4.2 using SuperCoupe parts. Can't remember where, although I seem to think it was the STVPerformance Forums.
As far as the 300 and a crossflow head, if the Aussie's crossflow 250 is just a de-stroked 300, there you go. Just install it on your 300 and enjoy!
The 240 is a destroked 300. The 250 is a Stroked 200. The 250 is a small block, kinda, and the 300 is a big block, kinda...
I just caught that. I also found that the Aussies had a mid-1980s version version with a cross-flow aluminum head.
Makes me wonder if I should drop the 4-cylinder stuff and start playing with sixes. Unless Ford of Brazil suddenly starts building kickazz parts for the 2.3Lima, the sixes have the Aussie advantage in factory performance parts.
scrap the ford idea and go vortec 4200 with a turbo? those can put out some serious power with boost.
Take the supercharged 3.8L V-6 out of a Thunderbird Super Coupe and build it out to 4.2L. A ton of the parts interchange with the 5.0L and head porting can be done exactly like the 5.0L.
There's a thread over on 4EyedPride about somebody doing that for a Fox chassis Ford.
I like the turbo 300 and 4.2 ideas.
Honestly, i dont give a crap about crossflow heads. Your goals are low anyway. My turbo dodges dont have crossflow heads either and i was just reading about a guy who modded a head from 140cfm intake flow to 270. Car ran 8s in the 1/4. No crossflow boo effin hoo.
I know that it can be done. I am still curious to hear what Javelin and his Aussie buddies have to say. If I can do up a nice 250 or even 200 (wish I would have thought about this earlier as I scrapped a 200 earlier this year) with lots of boost and some decent RPMs with a cross flow and factory fuel injection that might be the ticket. However, the 300 does bolt in. I can't over emphasis the appeal of that. Patgizz may have a point that if I am going through the trouble of making motor mounts there is really no reason to stay Ford other than the normal no cross breed reasons. Maybe I can grab a Jag XJ6 and boost that, it is the GM 4200s grand pappy.
