That '66 was 100% stock when I bought it... right down to the 3 on the tree.

Thank you. With your help and this thread, it seems OEM was white or Argent silver only https://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=258837
On trailer to go get an alignment and bikini top. Decided to plasti dip - first time in my life - to see how to tone it down color wise...to practice.
Talk about ghetto.... LOL

Bikini top!
I think I am leaning that way, ROI seems best. If I take cage off, its $4k for a new HT.
Other things:
1) Wipers, yes or no?
2)Front grille body color or not
3) add rear seat or not
In reply to mr2s2000elise :
1.) Maybe? Not a lot of a pint with the bikini top, BUT it could make registration difficult without them.
2.) Not body color. The argent if you are doing a black top or white if you got the khaki one.
3.) Yes! Really you should do all the seats and have regular seat belts in it. Should be able to sell the harnesses and over the top buckets to recoup quite a bit.
What I don't know is if the chrome or black grilles just go on top of the factory grille - whcih seems part of the body

You went a lot deeper into that than I would have. I would have already flipped it for $35K and called it a day.
I have two sets of bumpers if you're interested.... one set of modified stock chrome and a set of heavy duty steel bumpers. Let me know if interested in either!

With figures approaching 6 figures
doesn't make sense for a 10k flip
all suspension out

Full width high pinion Dana 44 from a '78 Bronco with GM outers (knuckles, hubs, rotors, calipers) custom longer radius arms, tie rod over custom steering, raised track bar mount, 2wd power steering box with 4x4 internals.
Rear Dana 60 from an F350, got rid of huge heavy drums and swapped to disk brakes (custom brackets, 1 ton rotors, Cadillac parking brake calipers, steel flex lines). Photos taken during frame off build.
