I have had a first series Ford Courier, 85.5 SVO, XR4Ti Competition Coupe, 1984 TB TC, 1979 Mercury Capri Turbo, McLaren Capri, McLaren Mustang, McLaren Turbo Grand Prix, RS SS DZ302 Camaro convertible and 1970 T37 Tempest. Strike these off the list.
I know that a member had a Hyundai Pony. I would almost bet that someone in Pennsylvania has owned or DOES own a Kubelwagen. I have seen one locally but can not take any credit for keeping it running.
CRap....I forgot you were here....

I actually like the Aztek. Aside from some of it's more questionable styling points around the lights and cladding.. it is everything a minivan should be.
Just a shame the focus groups got ahold of it and lost focus of that fact
I rented one (an AWD version, no less) in Canada one time as it was snowing like crazy and I had a chance to drive one somewhere where nobody I knew would see me. :)
I liked it quite a bit. Ugly? Oh Lord, yes, but it was a good car. Comfortable, got up and moved OK, went well in the snow, AWD and selectable traction control for parking lot hooliganism, etc. I think I'd actually drive one now and not feel too bad about it. They look much better in beige/silver/etc- the bright red and bright yellow colors that seem to be the most common just play UP the ugly.
after being inspired by a recently broadcast Top Gear, a Triumph Dolomite Sprint? not quite sure if that falls into the affordable bit, but it is rather oddball in the states.

I don't think that there are any Fuegos left.

I had an 84 XE Falcon I6 turbo and a Fuego for about a minute
I'm surprised no has said Berkeley.
I own an Austin A35 and I'm building it into a replica of ~This Vintage Racer~. Pretty odd-ball but affordable.
Many years ago I owned an ~Autobianchini~
A ~Citroen 2CV~ would be odd but affordable
I used to own a Renault Alliance....not as bad as everyone said and the ~GTA version~ was pretty slick.
One of the first road cars I had was an old-school Ford Falcon. I always thought it would be neat to clone a works-type ~Monte Carlo Rally Sprint~.
And a ~Henry J~ would be cool without being crazy money.

All rusted to bits? I just wiki'd the Fuego and I'm shocked at how many were made, 200k+ and how odd it looks now.

I was watching an old episode of the 2006 Goodwood Festival last night that I had recorded. An Austin A35 was leading the sedan race in the rain right up till the end when Derek Bell passes it in a Jag mk I. I was laughing the whole time. Those little cars are awesome! I don't think any other driver could have taken him in that race. Bell later apologized for driving so hard. He thought the driver of the A35 was Jackie Oliver (I think) and he wasn't going to lose to Oliver, so he drove the wheels off it.
I had forgotten about this thread. Jensenman's handle comes from him owning a Jensen-Healy. So far no one else has mentioned having an Interceptor, so I might have a winner.
Interceptors are rarely under $15K so not affordable for this thread
a girl a grade below me in high school had one of these
I liked her but she never knew it?

I just watched the Goodwood Revival too. My dad almost bought a AWD Tempo but got the '88 Subaru GL Wagon with 4wd instead. (Too bad he didnt get the turboed 110 hp; we got the NA's 85 hp)

I've driven one that used to belong to my grandmother.

I knew something like that would be said. Look what's on sale up in Montana right now;

I know there's 5 days left to the bidding but this thing is one step closer to the modern drivetrain this thing is screaming for. Some nice all-alum LS type V8 and up to date automatic would be perfect here and the Chrysler stuff is already out of the way.
