Thanks. At 140 for parts, vs 300 the easy button was almost worth it. Back when I made decent money, I'd have gone that route as well. Today, I'd have to modify used parts and buy just the minimum... or pretend they worked!

To be clear, I didn't buy parts, I bought two complete brake assemblies - one for each side. Unbolt the old, bolt on the new and connect the wires- done. If the shoes ever wear out, I'll probably do the same thing, as I'd expect a lot of rust and the magnet puck will be pretty worn by then, too.
The one thing I am not doing is changing the brake drum, which would also change the wheels.

I can't se any reason. Extra bracket length hangs down a bit, but I would not expect a clearance issue there.
Agreed. Think I'm gonna be lowering the trailer. To go with my lowered Safari!
