challenge registration question

does anybody know how old you have to be to register for the challenge

i will turn 16 on october 1st, a day before it starts

I don't believe that will be a problem, but we'll need to get your parents to sign waiver forms (are they coming?) to allow you to autocross/drag.

Not sure what the rules are in Master Devine's home State, but SCCA events I've been to require a valid drivers license to drive on the property or compete.

The Challenge rules say the vehicle has to meet SCCA - NHRA safety regulations, no word about the driver. I'm not hosing down your corn flakes, just want to make sure your trip is worth it.

The first time my son went to the Challenge he drove on a legal learner's permit, under the rules it imposed (State of GA- 15 or older, must have adult in the car with you).

Track was OK with that.

If not there are plenty of places up here that will sell you a "valid" drivers license pretty cheap
