I agree with this, but I still had an easier time loading a kid into a coupe.
Even some sedans can be a pain in the ass for putting a baby seat in. When we were on the search for a new car we looked at roof lines, how far the door opens and how large od a trunk or cargo area it had. The Charger has tons of room in the back and it is easy to get a baby seat in back there. The trunk is quite large as well. Only other rig we looked at that beat it put really was a Subaru Wagon but the wife does not want a wagon. Back seat was smaller but workable and cargo area was huge.

I love my sedan. Please don't assume it's a compromise to drive a 4-door car.

Yep, btdt too. Believe me, our system isn't perfect. But we typically do the "You better go now, because we're not stopping 10 minutes from now if you have to go" speech and it's been fairly effective.
Sedans are said to be structurally stronger then coupes.

I guess I am showing my age....2 door hardtop coupe is the best looking body style. Bought a new G35 coupe over the 4 door for the looks alone. But I have heard younger folks gushing over the looks of an EVO or Sti....give me the coupe anyday. Again just my opinion. I will put up with quite a bit of impracticality for looks and performance. I currently drive the S in my avatar every day. I know, I know, it isn't a coupe, believe me it was a tough decision to buy the S over one of the twins. When my kids were young I thought nothing of working the baby seats into the back of my GT Mustang or Challenger (Mitsu style).

Laughing, mine isn't perfect either. For a long time (like right until middle school) my son had no qualms about wetting himself. So, I wasn't keen on threatening him with refusing to stop and then having to clean my car. In fact I usually stopped at nearly every rest stop and force marched him into the bathroom and stood there like a menacing troll-dad.
My dad has a sad story about thundering at the kids about things like this. Family ride one Sunday. Me and my sister are in the back seat of his beloved Mustang. She whines, he launches into a lecture about proper enunciation. After a few minutes of pontificating he winds down and asks her to now speak again. She answers with a terrific hurl, thoroughly anointing her side of the car. I quickly join in with a hurl of my own and decorate my side. Now that the entire back of the car is a mess, my mother hurls up front on her side. That was a long and unpleasant drive home.
I once suggested to my newly toilet trained son that he was going to have to go in his pants, cause we had just used the restroom, 5 minutes ago at the store. I thought he was playing me, so we could stop at McDonald's. Without missing a beat, he went in his pants, in the car. Sarcasm is lost on toddlers, and I learned a very valuable lesson, never doubt the need for the bathroom.
For those that say you bail on your passion for a family car...
I took my 1999 Pontiac Montana to the local drag strip for a local car show. I hauled a set of 18" rims with tires, 288 bottles of water, and a 22' flatbed trailer. I then ran a 16.854@83mph, The van weighed close to 5000lbs at the time of the run. I then took towed trailer back home all with no issues. I'd run my van on the local road track but am not allowed due to CoG.
So please don't discourage the OP from certain types of vehicles because you don't like them.
