Keep in mind - any of these sound fun - don't stress - drive a few and check 'em out. Buy what you like.

Mazdaspeed6 is a difficult one. The prices really HAVE come down, but they're a little too porcine for the motor. That being said, they make a pretty awesome DD.

Thanks for the compliment, but if you saw all the stuff I cram into the car for a track day you'd think twice about letting your wife drive it!
I'm loving my Cobalt SS turbo SEDAN!
Locating a 4 door, non-sunroof, with LSD was not easy, but it's a blast. 28 mpg in DD mode.

This would be my vote.... yeah, they're a little porky, but not too bad. You can EASILY up the power enough to take care of some of that, and i was honestly surprised at the handling of the car.
AWD + TURBO = WIN! Always. No exceptions.
Thanks for all of the inputs. Very well appreciated.
Ok, upon further research, I'd like to add another vehicle:
Mazda 2

Sources say that it will hit the US shores next year?
Most likely a 1.6L I4, and 2,100lbs???!!!! Wow. I kind of doubt the weight, since they seem to pork it up for the US-models. Shares the same frame as the Ford Fiesta. I'm actually looking forward to this model. How long before the 2.3L or the turboed MS3 engine gets swapped in? :D
