Three days "down under" and I went from being happy with a Holden rental, wanting a Ute rental, looking at LHD Utes in colorado, and now I'm on to MFP Interceptor candidates. At this rate I'll be looking at property and potential employment here before I get on my flight home.

Someone send me some money or get me the hell out of here before I buy something I have to ship!
IMO, Aussie Falcons are more than cool without the MFP interceptor treatment.
Sorry, I guess that didn't help.

This is the first time I've ever typed "1970's Ford Falcon" into an Australian car-classifieds search engine. The result was very similar to the first time I saw boobies.

Quote of the day right there!
Besides the man eating, poisonous insects, Australia sounds awesome. Like Canada with great weather and great accents.....and 500+ hp, LS powered 4 door, rwd sedans.
It's neat and all, but that's a lot of coin for a car that looks like that. I know looking a bit ratty is kindof a thing, and this car pulls it off, but I honestly don't see why this is more than a $10,000 car. Unless Australian dollars are somehow worth like 1/2 what American dollars are...or everything's just more expensive down under.

At the moment, 1 AUD is worth .93 USD.
From what I've seen - yes, things are more expensive in Aussieland.
Old Falcons are desireable cars there as well. Enough so I've read you have to be careful when shopping for a genuine XA or XB as they are apparently easy to fake.
I tell ya. The cheapest is $20k. Then $70k THEN $100k+
For a Ford!
Er, ahem. For a Ford that didn't win LeMans
There. That's better.

In the ad, he claims that the 302/ automatic combo with a few bolt-on speed parts is worth $5000. Here in the U.S. you can buy Fords with running 302/ autos for scrap value, netting an essentially free engine.
If you're still there, try to take in some Aussie-unique "Red Neck" at a Bachelor and Spinster with a Ute Muster.

Depends on where in the US. You can't buy a car for scrap value here unless the owner is a friend of yours, or the car is truly scrap, so you'd net a scrap engine for your troubles.
Also, 302 or 302 Cleveland? You won't find any 302 Clevelands in the US.
Lot's O' rust to fix in those pictures. Can you get replacement quarter panels and such if necessary?

Say What? needs to be in the mag.
The price reflects the rarity. Australia just doesn't/didn't build that many 2 door cars that weren't utes or vans.
