Buddy of mine is sitting in a snow storm... says he is at a complete stop and the late model dodge charger has a mind of its own and wants to accelerate even though he has his foot on the brake. I think it has something to do with the traction control and he has hit the button on the dash to no avail.

Any ideas?

Vacuum leak at the brake booster?

Years ago knew a guy that had an S10 that experienced it. Booster leaked when pressing the pedal. Truck saw vacuum drop and accelerated. In the snow. Problem with the booster was found after the truck was towed home, out of the ditch it stopped in.

Winter boots? No matter the cause, point out the "N" by that stick thing that makes the ahead/back stuff happen.

I dunno about what's causing it, but I'm pretty sure I read in my Charger info from Dodge (got a prospective buyer kit once) that the traction control works by applying the brakes. Maybe his 22"s and the snow are f-ing with the ABS sensors and thus the TC?

I also seriously doubt it is the traction control causing it.
