Once or twice per year I have the opportunity to drive this 1954 Power Wagon. The new one looks like a nice city slicker truck that has a Power Wagon decal, but they are not a Power Wagon, in my opinion.

I'm not saying I'm mourning it's passing, but it's a heckuva truck. It's more capable than any Power Wagon of the past.Interesting... so it makes the same power as a Tundra.
Yes, it does. Is that bad? Does it NEED to make more? Same size engine, same hp and torque is bad? I'm corn-fused.
What was your point?

See the blind ignorance? I do.

No, it doesn't need to make more... Your post just read like you were trying to make everything you listed sound special.

Or the tide came in? Since we're all pontificating here I'll do the same.
The photo shoot was progressing as most photo shoots do, slowly. They had no idea that oceans move, tide comes in and goes out. Nobody thought to move the truck when the tide came in. Eventually they had to call in a union driver. They tried to move it, but since the tires were at street pressure it didn't move. The union driver went home. The truck sank. The internet came alive with hate for a vehicle because it's changed and evolved in the last 70 years.
Apparently. Did we get confirmation that it is actually a Power Wagon? It could be a prototype of something like this:
http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2010/03/mopar-to-sell-raptor-fighting-suspension-kits-for-ram-1500.html
I've been hearing rumors about a Raptor-like 1500 for a few years now.

Be sure to post what the reply is......
Maybe it's a nice truck, I'll admit, the only reason I was dismissive about it is because it looks like the Pep Boys appearance aisle sharted all over it.

this reminds me of the people that say the new GTO isn't a real GTO, the only real Porsche is a 356 or 911 or longhood 911 or air cooled or water cooled....etc etc...the Porsche guys seem to best at proclaiming something isn't a "real" Porsche, the only real Ferrari has a v12, I could go on and on.....
quick edit for clarification: I have a 944 turbo, ac 911, and old beetle, so I get this E36 M3 from all sides with the Porsche/VW crowd. It is ANNOYING.
another edit while I'm at it: I was at a tech session one time held by a Porsche mechanic/legend I had huge respect for. Some poor bastard mentioned his 914 and the guy hosting the tech session said "that's not a real Porsche". I felt like I was at a concert and the band had just finished an awesome set, then started talking politics and ruined it. berkeleyers

See the panties covered in sand wadded up? I do.

Are all the threads going here?
<Straight slur>, just to mix things up...
After cursory review, I've determined that there isn't much, if any, important or factual information being transferred within this thread.

So... does that make it flooded in the original meaning, or the later meaning? I'm confused.
If I (fairly new to driving in sand) can manage to stay un-stuck in dry sand with my RWD, non-limited slip 150 ft-lbs of torque ranger, whoever was driving that must have some serious problems with throttle moderation.
or maybe having that much power and mud terrain tires just digs you deeper faster
