Better steering than a 911! ;-)

Again, read the above posts, and do some research. That is a modified strut, and it's fine. I'm railing against the very specific MacPherson strut, which has a large top hat and a coil spring that has to be turned along with the wheel and spindle. Please be informed before making snarky replies. Thanks, the management.

Wow, resisting the urge to be nasty, specially since I wasn't being snarky before.
So anyway, perhaps you shouldn't try so hard to find hostility where none exists.

Having driven one of those once, id have to ask "what steering feel?" lol. It's fine to not want a car with struts, I can think of a lot of things I don't care for about them, but I would argue that a lot of the complaints come from poorly designed top mounts and lack of caster which is the case with most cheap fwd cars.

I have owned one of these, and I can assure you that was a joke.

Your response was a picture of an A/C 911 front suspension withe caption "struts". There's only two ways to take that friend; either you didn't know that it wasn't a MacPherson (so I pointed out that we already discussed why they steer differently ), or you were being snarky trying to disprove the complaints , so my comment stands. Don't post potentially inflammatory replies and you won't get "hostile" response.
Thanks, the management.
(Smilies added to show that I'm not hostile, this is a beers-in-the-garage E36 M3-shooting fest, not a freaking political discussion.)
