How long will a drag radial last on the street? 3000 miles with 30-50 passes? Yeah, not the best thing to guess at, but I'm new to this drag race stuff. They will suck in an autocross, but better or worse than a 300 treadwear tire?

In reply to Gearheadotaku: they have very Soft and flexable Side walls, If your not Spinning them They Could last a Season, If you use them on the Street that's just 'Tupid. they are designed to Go Straight not corner. they would be Better Than Bias Ply Though.

I could get a summer with about 40 drag passes on them in my capri. 3200ish lb car. About 4k miles if i was gentle on them.

The Nittos will last longer than the Mickey Thompsons on the street, but are a little harder compound.

Not sure about M & H - I have not used those.

I put Hoosier Drag Radials on my 78 Z28 this year - and they hook rock on solid. But at $500 a pair with mount and balance, I'm not running them on the street.

There are a few variation of Mickey's.

The first BF Goodrich drag radial was street friendly.

which are you looking at, what size, and what car and hp?

DR's will last a lot longer on the street if you have a good diff like a TruTrac. If you have a spool or welded diff, they won't last long at all. Also make sure your solid axle housing is straight, a bent housing can easily make one tire wear a lot faster than the other.
