Not familure with the term DE, what is it? Some one just won a DE, maybe I'm getting too old for the lingo.

DE is typically short for HPDE, or High Performance Driving Event - AKA a track day.

Winning a DE is a joke. As in HAHA. Or LOL. participants are warned to be careful out there, since no one wins HPDE. Some people DO lose HPDE, those are the cars that come in on a wrecker.

Jeez, I never even thought about anybody claiming they'd "won" a DE. I just figured it was a raffle for a free entry or something.

Hey, we might be small enough to award as a prize, but there is only one of us, so it would be hard to win "a" DE, implying there are at least two.

And yeah, I assumed they won the chance to participate in one as a prize, not "won" as in beat everybody else in non-racing.

I don't think he was ever referred to as "DE". Closest might be "Big E" after Jr started racing.
