So I have been experiencing this issue with the drive by wire system lately.

When I switch on the ignition I can hear some electrical humming coming from the throttle body, which I believe is normal because it shows that power is going through it, but as soon as I press on the throttle paddle and release it, I can hear the butterfly closing and the humming stops and I press on the throttle pedal and nothing happens like theres nothing connected the car just idles only.

When I switch off the car and switch it back on the humming comes back and I can press the gas pedal once again, then I release it and the same thing happens and so on.

I have changed the TPS and I bench tested the actuator thats inside the throttle body, gave it 12v from a battery and it spins fine, it also have a clutch, tested that to and it engages so I'm kinda confused what the problem could be here.

Thank you for your time to read my post.

Of the swap, is EVERYTHING from the engine still there?  It really sounds like a torque greater than demand action there.

Both the throttle and pedal will have two sets of positions sensors each, and the respective pairs must always check each other. If the pedal sensors and/or throttle sensors are not adding up right, then it will do what you've described. Measure the outputs from all four sensors and compare them to what the ECU is expecting. Some are expected to have one sensor read half of the other, and some are set up to always add to 5V. Figure out which it is for each side of the problem (don't assume).

In reply to Streetwiseguy :

It's a 1JZ engine swapped in a BMW but the engine is originally off a Toyota Crown I believe.

It's literally stock, no modifications.

Already checked, it reads 5V when it works but like I mentioned as soon as you depress the pedal once it just goes out and I can't input any throttle anymore.
