no! stick to your original concept, please. just focus on getting rid of the "offroad" appearance and more towards classic sportscar style.

i like this sketch very much! the proportions, layout and design language apporach are very original. i think that the feasibility of the tail lights is easy (taken from GTM or similar) and cool at the same time. same is true for the engine cover/b-pillar element. try to transfer this "cuda 2.0" heritage to the front perspective.
In reply to Franze:
yes. the idea of one single surface that covers the whole top of the car. i would see it as a track car, without greenhouse, just a cage (two bars similar to your current sketch) on top. just think of a KTM x-bow merged with the factory five hot rod.

i totally like the integration of the impreza headlights into your concept - it looks as if they were made for this car. in case you start into 3D modeling: go to a subaru dealer and get the dimensions, curvature etc. to make sure they`ll fit. another feasibility issue: how would this car look without a windscreen? would it be possible to design a "renault spider" version with just a splitter/spoiler over the front axle?
My inital thought is to put the frame on the outside of some sheetmetal with minimilast fenders and a slightly curved windshield. Where could I find some numbers on driver sizes? I have a long torso, short legs and arms and weigh far too much.
PS: I own an Outback Wagon and, with four good tires, do not have to slow down on snow and ice. GreatFun.

Hey, now that's really cool! I like it a lot!
yeahmaha: Your design lacks the polish of some of the other designs, but it has an exciting and attractive rawness. It's also a design which could be inexpensively produced, which is an important concern for us poorheads. Keep up the good work!

I REALLY dig this for some reason.
Some more from us, I will try to find another image uploading platform so everyone can see our design. We are moving towards the direction of the blue one, critics are welcomed ;)
There's some really fantastic work being posted in this thread. A superb effort by all. I think FFR are going to have some VERY difficult decisions to make come June...
xabier wrote: Hi all again! I have been quite busy lately but I managed to find time to work on my design, but for now I can only show you the front render, I have the rear almost decided so that will be the next step. This one is yellow but I have tried it in green, red, blue and orange so if anybody wants to see any other color just tell me. After I finish with the rear I am going to work on a more track oriented version of this car, but for now this is all! Tell me what you think of it please, thanks!
I think this design is very good and probably the most feasible to build of all the designs I've seen so far. Any chance we could see a side view Xabier? I can obviously imagine it from the front and rear 3/4 sketches you've provided but it'd be good to see the profile all the same!

thanks! i really enjoy the look of older cars (wedge nose, ducktail, flares) but like to integrate that with modern design styles which is what i'll be going for.
this thread has confirmed 2 things i was expecting: this will be a very intense contest and the talent being shown in this thread makes it clear that i have a ton of work to do

Well, yes, I haven't finished yet but I will try to do something during the weekend, but I can´t promise, I have lots of other work to do...
In reply to yeahmaha:
I will do something like what you have said about no windscreen, but that would be, in any case, on the track version, apart from other changes of course
In reply to ScottyB:
Yess! I'm of the stratos/muira ilk too - though I also really got a lot of inspiration from the ACS 2500 GT. You and I are approaching this from the same angle, and it's awesome. Can't wait to see your final.

I really like the lines of this car, I would build this

Man that is sick I'm lovin' this as a track car!

I like that. I'll work on it.

It's got the coupe and gtm elements blended perfectly! That's why I think its killer!
