Why was this even asked? The Chevette is a miserable piece of E36 M3.

have to remember, we never got the good versions of the chevette... it was well received in europe

I kind of like the looks of the Chevette. At least the suspension looks good on paper. If I remember correctly it has a parallel four link with panhard rear and SLA up front, which at least trumps the Vega/Monza mentioned last week. Was the geometry right? Just that the brakes were very failure prone. It says volumes that there aren't any left even in California, though. If you really, really want a classic Fiat, the Russians still build 124s as Ladas.

I can't think of any car more miserable than a Chevette. I usually try to find something redeaming about a car, but this one is pure and utter crap. An old roomate in college had a Chevette diesel, it was about as bad as you can possibly imagine! If anyone dreams about a Chevette they need to go for immediate pyschological help!
