Oh no, i don't actually want to associate with them. I think these cars are gigantic pieces of E36 M3, too.

my head just fell off...I mean it litterally - just. fell. off...right now Im watching in horror as my headless body types away at my keyboard. And I also can see I need to lose some weight and I found the key to my locker that slid under my desk. Im a car junkie and enjoy oddities like 350 swapped 80s volvos and Civics with 'busa motors in the passenger seat. But that "enthusiast club" is the biggest collection of bat sh_t crazy a_sholes Ive ever seen in the entirety of my 30 years of life.

I wouldn't suggest looking at 80% of the posts on FEOA.net, either, then. (Ford Escort Owners Association.)
I can't wait til i get off of work to go check out those forums for real, though. I want to see some hilariously bad projects.
93CGT2: Here's something that should tide you over;
The Styling Modifications section of their forum is probably a gold mine, I found that in about 30 seconds.
Hilariously bad projects? Sir needs to check out http://www.barryboys.co.uk/mx/
Lots of pictures of craptastic projects there.

This is exactly what i'm talking about. This plus boost = hilarious amounts of win
I just spent a half hour looking at all this Tempo/Topaz stuff and I've gotta say, my brain is absolutely MELTING. I'm reminded of the scene when I owned a '87 EGT in '99(no aftermarket, poor community). I can't believe the scene hasn't progressed one iota.
Between that TempoTopaz forum and the Barryboys site, I kind feel like I did the first time I saw Idiocracy - yeah, I've been laughing my ass off, but I'm also becoming increasingly fearful about the future of humanity.

I'd drive that.

Ditto.
Gotta be better than my 79 Rabbit.
As a side note-how hard is it to add an intercooler and turbo to hop up a diesel?
If that's the guy that was on turboford.org, I believe that's a 12 second car. I remember someone on there having a swapped Tempo. It can be done in the early Scrote too, though I think you have to use an automatic to make it a bolt in.

It may have been at one point... these are new pictures.
I found it hard to believe that not one person on there had turbo'd the 3.0 vulcan. Until i found the "styling" forum. Then i believed it.
I was having almost as much fun in there as i do on the FEOA.net "kills section."
I love hearing about them "racing" and "beating" 1980s Camrys and 4-runners. SERIOUSLY? Yes. Srsly.

Yeaaaahhhh.... There ARE some really well done cars in that forum, but they're usually not the people posting "kills."
I've got a BG chassis Protege LX, so I'm fond of the EGT as well.
But I don't mind saying that I have outrun a few riced out 1.9 scrotes with it. Serves me right for having coilovers, aftermarket wheels and tires, but a stock drivetrain. How dare I?

Dear god that's gotta be slow. A diesel freaking Tempo. Wow.
Seriously, it'd be so slow you'd violate relativity and jump millions of years forward in time before you even moved.
Riding a stegosaurus would get you where you're going faster than that thing, and all the stegosauruses are dead.
