In reply to Streetwiseguy :

No.  The Solstice uses an AR5 from the Colorado with a different 3rd gear and fixed yoke instead of slip yoke.

The RWD versions came in Solstice and Sky.

I believe they used the Colorado manual transmission

I might be pulling this out of my ass, but I'm pretty sure they used the Corvette transaxle, because parts bin engineering.  Might be a lie...

Ass pull.  They used some crappy Aisin-Warner 5-speed transmission (crappy because the ratios sucked) and I-don't-know-what for the rearend.

The guy I used to work for's dad bought a Solstice GXP with 5k miles on it, to do an LS3 swap, because the GXP had the same rearend as a CTS-V.  (Apparently)  With a TR6060 transmission.  He had to use some I Love Lucy translation-chain level of PCM and BCM and custom flash so that all of the Solstice bits talked properly to the engine controller, because he wanted everything to work like factory.  I guess most V8 Solstice swaps have no cruise control or A/C because of GM one-offness.  (By recollection, it was something like a certain HHR BCM, and a CTS-V operating system in the PCM)

Also, there is absolutely no room on the left side of the floorpan for exhaust.  The engine bay swallows an LS like it was meant for it but the floor does not accomodate anything but a 4 cylinder's exhaust system.

Anyway I know where there's a 5k mile 2.0 turbo engine/trans combo sitting on a furniture pallet under a workbench, complete with wiring harness and PCM, but he's asking what it's worth (about $5-6k) and not GRM price
