Lucky for me, the largest North American retail Fiat parts carrier is about 20 minutes away.
Now if only they still did customer pick-ups When I had my last one they had stopped that, and the shipping from 75 miles away was more expensive than the shipping for the parts I got from California!
Glad to year your sticking with it. A car like that deserves to be saved

Rusty Rabbit84 what Fiat parts carrier are you talking about?

Bayless Fiat Lancia World. Art Bayless owns it, back in the day no one could touch him for all of the hard to find Fiat parts that he kept in stock, haven't dealt with him in 10 years or more. He's good, but there are several out there just as good who are also cheaper if you can plan ahead & allow a few more days for shipping.

Bayless may still carry stuff, but he's a bit player these days. Lots of better choices. Not many carry a lot of 128 stuff though. C. Obert & Co, FUN Imported Auto and Bruce's Parts Bin all have good inventory for the non-Spider and non-X1/9 models.
i was just hoping for small things like a new dash, wheel bearings, brake components, stuff like that. Bayless has some cruddy hours, but im gonna try to give him a call since he is local. Then i will branch outwards to other carriers
I live an hour from Bruce, he is a good friend of mine. Very easy to deal with. He is also a one man operation

+1 for Bruce, I used to hang out at his old place all the time and he lived close to me so he was kind enough to bring stuff to me in a pinch.
If its available from one of the "other guys" Bruce can get it, but its best to shoot him an email and see if he's got what you need, he had alot of older stock hard to get stuff at one time so even if its NLA in some of the catalogs there's a chance he will have it.
i will have to call bruce then....
I've only emailed Bruce once for parts, he seemed like a really nice, helpful fellow. He didn't have what I needed (of course nobody else did either) but I plan to contact him again when I'm looking for stuff.
FWIW Art at Bayless was also pretty helpful too. Another source is DiFatta bros. in Balitmore. I've bought from them with no problems.
Good luck with finding that new dash. It seems only the spider guys have anything available.
Welcome back to the Fiat cult!
yesyes.. welcome back! You can check out any time you want, but you can never leave
Another source is Auto-Italia, Lenny Celiberti, not sure what all he still has left, but shipping was cheaper from him in California than Art was in Marietta. I sold the old dealer inventory stuff I had to Arman Labrada, not sure what 128 stuff might have been in there. I had bought out Fiat Atlanta's old inventory, plus a couple of other smaller stocks. Vick's Autosports will have some mechanical stuff that interchanges with X1/9 stuff. I'm sure Mirafiori still has the list of vendors on the FAQ, just haven't been there in a while.

The only thing about Bruce is that he has a very small knowledge base on anything that isn't a Spider or X1/9. I've found that having part numbers will find things in Bruce's inventory he otherwise doesn't know he has (everything he owns is filed by Fiat p/n). Part numbers can be had by members on Mirafiori.com. I used to do it but gave up my fiche reader when it crapped it's bulb last time.
well i appreciate all the help from everyone! I think you guys will lose your mind when you see it all done up!

Its a little Fiat 128a, gutted with flared fenders, twin webers, race headers, 3" pipe.
Only pic i can find that is similar...
Wow! That car is pure sex to look at. I had no idea anything that good looking was on the road.
oh yea, its the only one ive ever seen on the road, definately unique.
There's one lurking around DC owned by a friend of mine. It's a track rat. Halfway down the left hand column:
Carl Friedman's 128
I keep threatening to show up at his house with a quart of Rustoleum and some rollers.
