With the top down.  39F lol.  Google also said it might encourage other convertible owners to put their top down.  

I will confess when I first got mine, if it was above 50 and not raining, I drove with the top down.

I haven't done that in a while, maybe I've gotten wimpy.

But 11 degrees colder feels like 30 degrees colder if any wind hits you, so I'm gonna agree with you in this one!

We had our first frost the other night. The Spitfire's top is up for the next 5 months.

Once the heat kicked in it was nice ride.  No complaints from me.  Now the car is sitting in the parking lot with the top up so the top will dry from the frost that was on it.

I used to love driving my Miata's when it was cold out. Turn on the heated seats, crank the heat from the vents with top down. Invigorating.
