Does anyone here remember which GRM issue had the article about repacking a muffler? if not, does anyone remember the company name that provided the new filling?
November 2014, they used Bristol Core.

Motorcycle muffler packing material would probably work too, and would be available locally, if you have a bike shop that does a lot of dirt bike work.
