The goal of the truck, in a mission-statement sense, is to make it look as if GM could have very well built it this way. If you had not looked over a 1972 GMC truck before, and you saw this one and climbed all over it, you might be fooled into thinking that it was original. The body modifications are minimal but helpful. The suspension modifications (lots of them) are OEM style and in most cases modified 1972 pieces. The whole truck is like this. A shiny turnbuckle and two spherical bearings would fit with this about as well as a fartcan muffler and a 'shocker' sticker on the glovebox.

Good call.

It still boggles the mind that you can buy an OEM balljoint setup for $15 but it costs $100 to make the same thing from spherical bearings which don't work as well and are way noisier.

Dunno if you are still looking, but I happened to see the links on my 99 9-3 are very short. But they are right angle on one end and straight down on the other. For reference, the length of the shaft is about the width of my finger (1/2 inch?).

Wanted to also add 05 civic SI. They were under 3 inches but the car was lowered enough i couldnt get a good measurement.
