Wow, a lot happens when you walk away from a thread for a few hours to hang out with a friend you haven't seen in a while. Let's answer some questions.
How I did it is I cut the open-ended front springs by 1.75 coils (still with plenty of tension), and ran SN-95 rear lowering springs with modified perch bushings off of some kind of GM product. It scrapes occasionally, but I've gotten used to it.
As for tires, 315s will fit under the rear arches with just a rolled inside fender lip, but I'll probably run RWL tires and just steelies for a bit because my whitewalls are pretty much destroyed.
As for good pictures, it was raining all afternoon. I promise they will come, though.
This is what airbags are for. Suspension on demand.
Alrighty, I went out and took some decent shots.
As for air suspension, I didn't want to spend $2000+ on a $550 car.
Needs some addco sways and some konis of proper length
I think it looks a heck better than before
On one hand, Daytons and curb feelers. On the other, d-window steelies and side pipes.
I could go either way.
In reply to Chadeux:
I was thinking RWL tires, slotted steelies, and a nice reverse-flow muffler.
Any tire can have white letters, get something sticky and make a stencil.
Can something like GM 15x8 truck rallies (or corvette rallies if you need 5x4.5) fit? I think a more sharp edged wheel design would offset the aero body look nicely. And good color choice.
I really need to take some better pictures.

needs more rear low.
Note the trailer hitch - probably not advisable to go lower than it is.
Dammit, I'm going to end up with a stupid Ford in my driveway and have to take back everything I have said bad about them. Those things look hella good.
New tires mounted on steelies. Pics coming once I wash the car.
Anticipating steelie pics

You're killin' me, smalls. Also, your camber angles look off, and a trailer hitch looks super funny on a lowered car.
In reply to Kartoffelbrei:
The camber's actually intentional, and dialed in pretty much even on each side. The trailer hitch may look funny, but I'm keeping it. Don't want to accidentally scrape the gas tank.
Got my new-to-me Nokians mounted and balanced today. Big, black sidewall + satin steelies = general excellence.
They'll need a little touch-up, but look great in whole-car photos.
Better.
Wait, you lowered your winter car? I think I missed a memo somewhere.
In reply to Kartoffelbrei:
I'm running Nokian summers right now. And yes, it will be my winter car, but I'll be switching out springs for the winter, as well as running winter tires (and possibly mud flaps).
In reply to G_Body_Man:
Huh. I was not aware that Nokian made anything other than winter tires. You should totally lift it higher than stock for winter.
In reply to Kartoffelbrei:
I'll see if I can find Interceptor springs.

I really like the idea of completely changing the suspension components based on the season. Not practical, or rational, but it appeals to the fanatical car guy in me.
