Use to do that when I was shifting by hand.

The DPS6 in my Fiesta always starts in first so It tend to get some spin until it shifts to second and beyond. Shifts quick so not a problem

Or worse, in some of the mid-2000s Toyotas, they sit there and beep beep beep beep beep whenever the traction control or stability control kicks in.

In reply to outasite: Not on my '13. Later ones have some sort of control. Don't know if it helps.
