Wish I could use it, but being in Canada, it just doesn't make sense.
Can't use the link but the place importing my set of Z1 Star Specs is ordering from Tire Rack. Look how good the advertising on GRM is working, Tire Rack guys!
Sweet timing, just clicked and signed up for the advantage and now I get $20 for my next purchse. I already planned on 4 new 18" tires for the Volvo so this is a help.
thx

The link through the banner ad is blocked by the spam filter at work, but this link went through.
One set of *Specs for the E30 on the way.
Just bought some ho-hum street tires for my Saturd using teh link. Checked off that I saw an ad in the mag in the little survey at the end of the order, too.

I'm in the Toronto area. What happens when you bring them accross the border? What kind of duties are you paying? I currently need tires so I'd love an answer on this.
To Johnnytorque... The $ saved buying from Tire Rack easily covers the cost of having them ship to your door. Especially now with the $ exchange rate at essentially zero %.
I just priced a set of Yokohama Geolander tires for my Pathfinder. If I have them shipped to the house (Ottawa) delivery is $150 and includes all taxes and brokerage fees. Having them shipped to the UPS store in Ogdensburg NY is $65, but I will have to pick them up (~1 hour away). Canada Customs charges the GST (5%) on the purchase, plus duty IF the tires you buy are manufactured in a country that is NOT part of NAFTA (i.e. Pirelli tires manufactured in Europe).
A 3rd option is having the tires delivered to a local certified Tire Rack Installer garage. There is one in Ottawa, so I would expect there should be at least one in Toronto.
You can use Tire Rack's website to price check the various options and find a preferred solution. I have used the home delivery approach in the past, and a couple co-workers have used both the UPS and installer options. I plan to try the UPS store with my next purchase when I'm ready to buy.
