My boss has the gas version. It's been in the shop about 10 times over the past year.

I am on my third high mileage Audi and even I wouldn't touch that with a six foot pole.

Maybe it's the new Biturbo? But without the looks. Or the Italian zest. Or the sporting pedigree.

Pretty sure. At first it was "This thing is amazing"  for a while and then it turned into "This thing is a nightmare" like the flick of a switch.

That is just what I needed to hear.

I say no but my reasoning is not reliability (which it may be unreliable.)  Since you own your own business, my reason is image that it portrays.  If you were to go out and drop $40k on a new Camry the world would see you as a "smart businessman" but I bet if you drop $9k on what people perceive as a $60k "high lux" vehicle you'll be seen as "wasteful" and maybe "uppity".  Your employees may perceive that you are "making too much money."  

I agree that these impressions may not be correct and they may not seem valid but that doesn't mean they do not happen.

I used to go to measure jobs I didn't want to do(because known shiny happy person) in my corvette because of the "berkeley you I don't need your money" factor it gave off.  They didn't need to know i traded a $1900 s10 for it.

i'll be the dissenter here. I want to watch teh carnage. 

Few shops have the scan tool to diagnose these diesels, other than the dealer. Then after it's been in the shop upteen times you won't be able to sell it to no one. 

It's a nice ride to have as a lease, but with those miles you're asking for trouble.
