I didn't add this in my post, but others have mentioned it. Go to a school if possible, but there is another alternative if you can't go to one near you.
One of my good friends is Alan McCrispin, one of the challenge pro drivers and multiple national champion. I had been progressing OK for about 3 years when Alan started helping me out and riding with me. I learned more from him in one session than all 3 years earlier combined. I went from lounging around the back to lounging around the front in about 1 season. These days for a fee he will work with you one on one, and I am sure there are plenty more people out there that will do the same.
There is no substitution for education!
