I am in the process of replacing the roof and rear compartment top deck of my 2001 Z06, and having some challenges identifying the proper adhesives for reassembly.
I have the chassis service manual, but documentation specific to the Z06 roof is not great. Best I can figure, the manual recommends US Chem 82006B to glue the rear compartment clamshell, and US Chem 82014B to glue the roof section to the window frame, roll hoop, and rear compartment. I am not able to find these anywhere, I assume these part numbers have been aged out over time. I know a couple of folks here have peeled their C5s apart to put in cages etc., what glues did you use?
P.S. I figure someone will ask...so no, not putting a roll cage in the car. My neighbor's dead tree dropped a heavy branch on my baby. The giant branch speared the tulip panel, destroying the roof, trunk, and upper cross member of the rear compartment. The only silver lining so far is I've learned what a tulip panel is.
