Hello everyone. We have a 1992 Miata automatic with a bad transmission. I have a good auto from a 1991 Miata on the shelf. Someone is telling me the 1991 auto won't work in a 1992. Does anyone know if this is the case and why? Thanks for any info

The 1994+ autos are definitely different, but I'd be surprised if there was a difference between 91-92. I'd go to the Mazda parts fiches and look at part numbers for the transmissions to start.
