I have questions:
Question #1. Mrs. Petersen's Bentley has some small tabs at the front of the front side window and at the rear of the rear side window. All 4 windows have one, by 0.75" rectangle of black plastic. Right now the driver's window is halfway down, wiggling the window it is tight in the track, so I assume it's not a shim. Can't believe it's for aerodynamics. What are they?
2nd question:
Disassembling the K-1200, it's fuel injected with three 3" diameter ports on the plastic tank for filling and doing maintainence on the fuel pump and filter. Also inside is this plastic thing bouncing around untethered or hosed up to anything, is this with some conical shaped bits of metal encapsulated. The metal is soft like a lead compound, is this a zinc plate to fight corrosion?
1st question is to "guide" the window into the channel as they are closing.
2nd question. Corrosion in a plastic tank?
1st question: Yes, window guides, and also noise cancelling. You know when you open a sunroof how there is a little spoiler that pops up? It's to change the airflow so you don't get a low frequency oscillation like you get blowing over a coke bottle. Those little guides change the airflow ever so slightly so you don't get a whistle as the air sucks around the corner of that trim.
2nd question: Anti-splashback/anti siphon device that fell out of the filler neck? Maybe?

I call it a helicopter in the back seat.
2nd thing; I don't see anything broken on the filler or attachment points, it was rattling around when I first removed the tank.

Could number one be an anti theft device? Stops a thief from prying the window out?
Just my wag.

Wow. $84.99?!? Canuckian, but still. Genius. I love that it doesn't even pretend to have some mechanism of action.
