And it's good!
I picked up boxheadtim's miata today. We managed to stuff a whole second interior, exhaust and other miscellaneous parts in.
The truck looks about the same. So far I've made it about 20 minutes of the 9 hour drive home. My butt and the racing seats are close friends.
1995 Now to see if I can stuff myself back in after a delicious burger...
The highway is calling
As bgkast says, it's a 95 but essentially the same as a 94 M-Edition without the badges.
Glad you found the In-n-Out burger, looks like my directions were at least semi useful! It was a pleasure to meet you and I hope you have an uneventful journey back home.
Congrats on a nice pick up. Just rolled mine out of storage this week after an impossibly long winter, and I'm finding the Koolaid is as good as ever. Unfortunately, the roads around here appear to have been carpet bombed. Between the potholes, Star Specs and Koni sports, I keep expecting to find blood in my urine. The Ho Chi Minh trail has nothing on 26th Street.
I made it about half way. My butt and the racing seats have decided that they are not friends, and an uncomfortable standoff has ensued. Thank goodness for cruise control!
The Miata is running well, it hasn't missed a beat. Other than the seat/butt conflict and the radio's Las Vegas light show that I can't figure out how to turn off I love the car!
With all the junk piled on the passenger seat I have had to mostly putt putt along, but I can tell it will handle great with the vmaxx suspension. The ride isn't bad either.
Woo, 30 mpg yesterday. Back on the road.
The instructions for how to turn off the Vegas light show are in the radio manual but I think that's at the bottom of the pile on the passenger seat...
I dug it out this morning and shut it off.
Nice pick up. I'd love a miata some day. Looking forward to meeting you and the miata soon.
I made it home. Filled up as I got into town: 34.5 mpg
Glad you made it. It does get half decent gas mileage, doesn't it?
Better than expected! I still have to unload it
Shouldn't take as long as it took us to stuff all those parts in there .
BTW, I think I found a couple more receipts that should have been in the big pack I gave you. I'll try to scan them tomorrow and email over the scans.
In reply to BoxheadTim:
Thank you again for your hospitality and help. It was a fun trip!
The kids seem to like it too.
You're welcome and I'm glad you enjoyed the trip.
BTW, we forgot to take the piece of plastic off the hood that's behind the NACA duct...
Passed emissions, going to transfer the title now.
My wife says a flyin miata box arrived. On with the build thread!
