All right, I am ready to admit it now... a couple of weeks ago a blew the Manx's engine and need to replace it. Anyone have a line on a 1600, 1641 or 1776 VW Beetle engine? With everything else going on, would like to have this be quick and easy and I want something mild that doesn't need to be rebuilt. Trying to keep it low priced as well.
Sucked sand up in the engine, or at least that's what he admitted to in this last episode of the magazine

I've got a complete, oil pan to air filter including tins, AC VW engine. Not sure of the displacement. I have never had it running or even done a compression check. Free if you want to come to Charleston SC to get it.
Go to -TheSamba- classifieds and search for "engine" in your area.

Tim,
If you can figure out how to get it from Massachusetts to Florida, you can have my good running 1972 1600cc dual port for a 10-year subscription...
