my brother's 99 Dodge Ram has a front suspension that looks an awful lot like the early 80's 4X4 Jeeps- only bigger.. solid axle, 4 links, struts, panhard bar (i think)..

That's a real early one since it has the visor roof. No telling which engine it has.
One of those Wrangler based trucks is all the truck I ever need. I don't tow often, and when I do, I have vehicles I can borrow for the price of a tank of gas. A small open bed is more useful to me than the equivalent amount of enclosed space. If the kits didn't add something like $10,000 to the price of an already expensive new Jeep, I'd likely be looking to own one of the JK8 trucks within a year or so.

cant you guys just stop with all this cool stuff. Always have wanted a Jeep and this is not helping me especially not lately when i have been having a new car itch.
If the wrangler came with a diesel i would be all over it
