In reply to Rob_Mopar: That's great news, thanks!
Hmmm. I like this one:

Okay, I'm a few weeks and about 1,000 miles in:
Plusses:
Super comfortable
Decent mileage (low 20s in 50/50 city/highway)
Comfortable
Nothing has broken (yet).
Doesn't use any oil.
Minuses:
Vibration under braking.
Driver's sunvisor has a droopy mirror.
Today, I ordered a new sun visor on eBay ($31 shipped), picked up a gallon of synthetic oil for $13.99 (thanks, rebates), and ordered four rotors and eight pads ($139 on Amazon). After I get back from NASA Nats, I'll be finally giving this poor thing some attention.
Oh, and it needs tires–the fronts are worn further than I'd prefer for daily driving in Florida rain. Luckily, a whole set is $200 with free two-day shipping on Amazon. I <3 cars with cheap consumables.
For some reason I've never thought to check Amazon for tires...and now I've discovered I can save ~$30 buying (one random tire brand/size checked) from them. Not bad.

Many of them have different color backlighting so you can use the boring white backlight.
Bringing this one back from the dead. My VDO rep contacted me this morning. The VDO units with the blue back-lighting (sorry failboat) are finally in stock in the US warehouse with kits shipping now. The Continental ones with the amber lighting arrived at the warehouse, but they haven't completed the kits yet.
I'll probably bring on the VDO units into the shop for evaluation soon.
