Oh really? Im curious about that!
Im in San Marcos and ive got a Magnum (somewhat e-class descended) that i sometimes scheme to swap a 3.0 mercedes diesel into (they sold em like that elsewhere)...
Maybe i could swing by and park em alongside with the hoods up and shoot the breeze for a few minutes over it?
Good luck with sale.
Great purchase, from the looks of it. I really miss my E36: one of the best all around cars I've ever owned. Good "enough" on fuel (25-28ish mpg), good performance, great handling, comfortable, the "right size", full back seat.

I'm hoping to get some years out of her, and all the things you mention are why I bought it. Very decent fuel economy for a 17 year old 6 cylinder, good handling, comfy (going to be driving about 100 miles a day), back seat for kiddies that I'll be dropping off at daycare, etc.
I clicked on this thread just to say E36, Looks like I was a bit too late! Nice car, a good set of snows and that'll be a tank come winter. Start trolling craigslist now and maybe you will find a set for next to nothing like I did :). Want an extra set of wheels for snows? I'm going down to VA to pick up an S2000, and my buddy down there who's building a Spec E36 offered me his old stock wheels for free. I could probably be persuaded to drop 'em off in NH on the way back home for a 12 pack of Smuttynose :).
