Hmm... are you certain that the leading coils are connected to the leading (LOWER) plugs and the trailing coils are connected to the trailing (TOP) plugs?

 

Your symptoms remind me of when my leading ignition quit and I was running entirely on trailing.  Heavy misfiring in a band surrounding peak torque rhat cleared up at higher RPM if you pushed through it, which I stress is the symptom that presents when you have a weak ignition system...

Double checked the coil/wire/plugs all in correct placement.  I can only hope that the coil leads are in the correct order.

Try switching them see if it’s better or not. Check wire color in the shop manual

You can test a crank sensor with an oscilloscope.
