Absolutely. Headers are worth 20-35whp. 1.94 and 1.5. Ive seen about 260-270 cfm on the intake side with stock valve. Porters are running everything from stock to a 2.055 and i dont think ive seen any bigger than 1.60 on exhaust.

It has the factory ram air, which is mounted directly on top of the intake manifold so it doesnt have the greatest flow path. Im undecided if i shelve that and run a conventional CAI or just roll it. I do like the look of the SS airbox.

No name yet, probably take a while to come up with one.

Oh its all in fun. I fully embrace the stereotype of these cars. With my last one I kept a blonde mullet wig in the back seat and anytime I took the ttops off Id put it on and blare aerosmith or skynyrd. When I sold it the I was walking away and the guy goes "hey man, there is a wig and CD in here" I told him those were his now and nodded my head. He was pretty confused but I like to think he figured it out.

Plugs are not awful, with the exception of aftermarket angle plug heads, with headers.  #7 requires removing the header to get the spark plug out.  And heat sleeves for the wires since a right angle boot is right up against the tube.  After you use short spark plugs, since stock length ones are too long to clear the tube.

Never messed with angle plug heads on these, only stock castings. That sounds like a nightmare. Wasnt angle plug originally done for clearance? On the couple brands of headers Ive used, I can think of a couple places angle plugs would be a clearance problem.

I get it.  Had a 2SS as a rental in Houston early this year for over 2 weeks (I have a lot of rental status).  Big 6.2. with 455 hp, 10 speed.  I honestly just couldn't bond with it.  I think I'd prefer this too.

I used to think my 4th Gen was hard to see out of.  I can't understand how a 6th Gen is even legal.  It would be wholly undriveable in Houston traffic without the lane-spotter mirrors.  Unacceptable in my opinion.

You are probably thinking about the LS. Its not to hard to get a stock bottom end LS1 to 450whp through a manual with ported stock castings and an off the shelf cam.

Can't imagine the lumpy ass cam that would take. My LS1 barely cracked 400whp/395wtq with oversized valves, long tubes, and 228/232 615"/615" cams on SpeedIncs dyno. Granted every dyno reads different.

Would you be so kind as to enlighten me with a picture of the hood/induction setup on this?   Tanx
