Got these seats from the JY. Not sure yet which vehicle I will be putting them in, but would like to clean up the rust a little bit first.
I was thinking I would just scuff off the loose stuff and put something on it. But I am not sure as to what to use. I don't want to spend a lot of time disassembling the seat as whichever vehicle I put them in will be gone in a year.
Suggestions?
Wire wheel and rust converting paint?
Id use some black rustoleum. Or not even worry about it. Car will be gone in a year, and brand new cars have that much surface rust from the factory on those pieces.
bolt them in and stop thinking about it.. your car probably has more rust on the unpainted stuff up under the dash than that..
