I'll be there, rally bike #128. Who else is going?
At the very least it'll be nice to go south and get out of the snow for a while. The bike has a new steering damper, more lights, and some super knobby sand tires, so if I can keep the thing right side up it should be a good time 
I went there a bunch of years ago to spectate. Have fun.

One of my buddies is bringing his KTM 450 down, which is all rally raided out. I've thought a bit about taking the 950, but it's probably not going to happen. Good luck!

Your friend's KTM will be in my class then- I count at least 12 bikes in Dakar class alone

I wasn't planning on going as work has been crazy busy the past few weeks, but knowing there will be warmer temps down there makes it tempting

Good luck! After last weekend's rally I can't get away on such a quick turnaround. Our driver (Ozgur Simsek) will be there co-driving some badass 400hp Focus though
This sounds pretty awesome. Perhaps I will need to take a "mental health day" next Friday to make the trip down south.
