Ok, the girlfriend just asked me a question I'm not sure of the answer for. How difficult would it be to add cruise control to an '02 SL2?

Easy, I worked for Saturn from 92-98. It was a simple dealer add on with factory parts, the wiring harness was allready in the car. I would think 02 would be the same. Maybe a call to the dealer & then get the parts from a JY. If it is a 5 speed get the clutch pedal switch also.

I have done a bunch 00-02 s-cars ,You need a steering wheel w/cruise switches, cruise control module, then have a gm dealer install engine calibration, change cruise option from no to yes when calibrating, works every time, or get a used pcm w/cruise,be advised a 30 min man relearn will need to be performed for the car to run,NOT FOR THE NOVICE,GOOD LUCK

I haven't done it. I know someone who did. He simply bought and installed all the appropriate hardware - switches and module sound right - and then convinced his friendly neighborhood dealer to reflash the PCM to enable cruise. Act now before the Saturn dealers disappear!

Sell current saturn, then buy one with Cruise. they really aren't that expensive.
