Driving home from autozone with (yet) another Alternator belt for my 1991 Audi, I see a brand spanking new S5 Coupe.
I gotta say, it looks really good. If I didn't know that Audis will punish you for owning them I would look into one.

I passed a BMW Z8 on my way to work today. Don't see them very often. Don't think I've seen an S5 coupe yet.
I've seen a few S5 coupes... they're GORGEOUS. DO WANT, and i don't even care about Audi maintenance.
There are a couple lurking around here. Unsure if I like the headlight treatment.
Now the Z8. There's a LUST AFTER car! I've only seen one. And there are lots of exotics that come out of the wood work here, esp in the summer.

I saw a silver Z8 in Huntsville the other day.
In reply to 93EXCivic:
Must be the same one I saw this morning. Not many of those were made - I doubt there are two silver ones in town.
I just caught a glimpse of an Audi S5, I saw it from the rear. My first impression was it had a dose of the bloat.

Speaking of cars I have seen in Huntsville, a couple months ago I saw a Lambo Diablo SV sitting outside the Silver Dollar.
the coupe' is a pretty car.. just can't figure out why Audi continues to build cars that self destruct
S5 is quite pretty, but IMO drives kind of like a pig. It felt heavy if solid. S4 is a hell of a lot more fun to drive.
interesting....what area are you in?
I've probably seen about a dozen S5 coupes around here (including one at an autocross late last year). But in this area, with all the politicians, lobbyists, and corporate bigwigs everyone is trying to drive the new hot commuter car. Last year it was the new M3. This year it's the S5.....
Central Illinois. We don't see stuff like this everyday. Though, in my neighbor hood, there is both an R8 and a Ferrari. Owned by retired people.
I see one parked pretty regularly on campus and while a bit big, it is a very well styled car. Were they available with the 4.2L high revving v8?
I see them occasionally here in ski country. I think they look pretty sharp, but I've always had a soft spot for Audi styling.
I had a student with one last season at Summit point. It was no e92 M3, but it went where he pointed it, seemed fast enough, braked well, and didn't howl like death when I finally got him to grow a pair and start carrying some corner speed.
It was extremely euro-plush on the inside too...
Saw one two days ago HAWT. Audi makes the best looking high dollar luxury cars but i will not own a VAG product (with exception of the R8...)
Friends brother is an Audi Mech. He had a brand new S5 with him the last time I saw him. The owner stated it would just randomly shut off and after about 3 times in the shop they couldn't diagnose the issue. So they put a datalogger in it and he was driving it to replicate the issue..
That said, That car looks awesome and sounds awesome.
yeah, they do look sweet, albeit a bit understated with the standard/stock wheels. But man, they are big cars. I parked next to an A5 (same size) and it made my WRX look like pretty small....
