I'm two episodes in so far and like it, but I'm easily entertained. Anyone else?
I knew he was a good driver (barely follow F1) but so far the 1984 Monaco in the rain (holy E36 M3) has been enlightening.

They made a series? I haven't browsed Netflix in a minute, so I had no idea.
I've seen the documentary that was made in 2010, though. It was excellent. Definitely check that out if you haven't seen it already.
I watched the whole thing and thought it was good, and like Jerry I knew he was good, just not to the extent it is portrayed in the show.
I watched the whole series over the weekend. The old racing footage is great. They spent a lot of time on the rivalry with Proust. Spent time on how he got started in racing with prologue and flashbacks. Some time was spent on his girl friends. They had a "strawman" reporter role, by a woman, fill in for his trouble dealing with the press. Also got into his controversies with the FIA. Not really any time on the cause of the accident and then they jump pretty quickly to his public funeral in Brazil.
It seemed to have been produced in Portuguese but its mostly in English with some dialogue in Portuguese, Italian, French, and German with no sub titles.
I really want to support F1, and racing content in general. I started this, but it's yet another puff piece telling a story, not a documentary at all. It's bad enough it makes the (very good) 2010 SENNA documentary look like fair and unbiased in comparison, which it wasn't.
General old(ish) age guy rant. What's berkeleying wrong with actual documentaries?

This is what gives me pause.
I was both a Senna and Prost fan but I've made no bones about Senna's behavior on track.
He was a hugely gifted driver but one can name 4 or 5 more who've been just as gifted.
I also don't relate to the mercurial/pissy attitude; one can have a burning desire to win without being prickly.
Thanks for the reminder for the series; I saw a trailer some time ago but had forgot about it, so I'll check it out sometime.
Stefan Bellof may have been the driver of the day for that rain-soaked 1984 Monaco GP. One of the many great "what if" drivers if he hadn't died at Spa. I would have loved seeing him compete with Senna, Prost, Mansell, etc., over the years.

Bellof was amazing but he was also a full send kind of driver.............hence the attempted pass that cost him his life.
I too would loved to see how he progressed.
