A hammock isn't a great place to spend an entire night. You will be cold all night and sore all day.

You should warn people before posting a link that eats that much of an afternoon.
In reply to Will :
There are 3 websites I have to limit my time on.
Which reminds me, I haven't looked at CL ambulances in a week or two. There goes my evening.
I would be tempted to add one or both of these to an existing enclosed trailer

Couple that with a roof rack for kayaks and pull out awnings, some interior finishing and insulation, some windows, and I think we could have a cool custom RV in a neat color for 10k or so.
Me and the Mrs are looking hard at a pull behind trailer in the upcoming year or 2, its just 2 of us, we don't need or want a ton of space or a giant RV, but I would really love some dry enclosed space, some A/C, a fridge, solar, screen rooms, etc. Expedition trailers are tempting but I wouldnt do much besides gravel roads, not really into extreme offroading, but would be need to go boondocking out west or in the UP and be comfortable. I have tent camped for the first 36 years of my life, I want some more comfort. Plus would be nice to be able to go more than a few days, hauling ice sucks, etc.
I have a small trailer that just came in for use with the new car. We have a portable AC setup for the garage and tent and this, so I will try it out for sure.
To help with the restroom, I am debating a composting portable toilet. We will see how that goes.
