Someone on craigslist had an unused flyin' miata set with new end links for $150.
I was gonna buy those anyway!
So I put them on, loose in the front, full tight in the back. Much sillyness followed. I wasted a solid 15 minutes driving through a series of roundabouts like my life depended on it.
Then it got clunky. I looked up front, and one sway bar end link had pushed it's rubber bushing right through the hole. So now there's just a piece of rubber bolted to the end of the bar, and a link with an empty eyelet, if that makes sense.
Did I get a bad end link? Is this a common failure? I'm going to replace the end link, and was considering putting washers on both sides of the rubber when I bolt it on.
WHAT SAY YOU MIATITES?
Mine have not broken in more than 80k street miles and plenty of autocross. I'd say you got a bad end link.
Racing Beat end links? I've seen it happen once. I think big washers would be the cure for your ill. Never seen it happen with a stock one.
Loose on the front, stiff on the rear? I like your style
