No no, 14" abrasive miter saw, with the base removed. Think 14" abrasive circular saw. I cut an eagle talon into 4 pieces in an hour.
The fire & rescue sawzall blades are cool too. You can cut through a windshield with them! Glass is very hard on the saw though.

I don't think I would ever try that, I've cut out windshields before, and it is not very easy. In a rescue situation berkeley the sawzall, any other time head to H-F and buy the glass removal kit. I was a volunteer firefighter for 5 years, if your cutting out a windshield to extricate someone, you're usually in a hurry.

the talk of using a sawzall and hitting plumbing reminded me.
I was working with my uncle doing some work to a rental house in Reading Pa. Old row home, plaster on brick, probably 75 years old.
Come in, the ceiling is discoloured and forming stalagtites from the leaking plumbing. My uncle gets up on a ladder with the sawzall and begins to carefully cut away the plaster and lathe.
Out of nowhere, several gallons of sewerage come pouring out of the ceiling and all over my uncle (who also cut his hand in the process). Seems the sewer lines in the house were LEAD and he did not even feel the saw cutting through them.
Ohhhhhh my god. That's disgusting.
We use Sawzalls at work to cut apart junk pallets, so they take up less room in the dumpster. It's way fun.
That said, putting a twin-cam mill into an SC1 is the biggest performance upgrade you can do, other than sticking a turbo onto it. Instant 24 horsepower and some torques and 1000 more revs.

The Sawzall is definitely faster and easier, but the GlasMaster is remarkably quick for a hand tool.

...and this morning I checked the blades on the DeWalt in the firetruck and they are normal (cheaper) non-rescue blades. The actual rescue blades are about twice as thick and much, much more durable.
